Lisa Dalla Via was born in 1965 and in March 1989 achieved the Degree in Biological Sciences with full marks cum laude at the University of Padova and in 1990 the Board Certified in Biological Sciences. In 1990 and 1991 carried out research activity owing to a grant from Sigma-Tau (Roma). PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics in 1995. From 1994 joined the Department of Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences, Researcher of Medicinal Chemistry from 2002 and associate professor from 2010.

The research activity, in collaboration with national and international groups, deals with the study of: a) the mechanism of transport and action of polyamines in rat liver and heart mitochondria; b) the mechanism of action of natural and synthetic compounds: effect on normal and tumor cells; c) the interactions between natural or synthetic compounds and cellular targets.
